Artistic Pictures

Have you seen those artistic photographs in magazines, mostly fashion magazines, and wonder how they do it?
It is all about expressing your own individuality and creativity through your own eyes, not any other person's eyes, in order to make your photographs look unique and expressive. Depending on what your personality is, you will express yourself in the photographs you take. Two people who take a picture of the same scene or object, at the same time, will take a totally different photograph to express their own personality embedded in the kind of photographs that they take.
When you look at something that you would like to photograph, consider all the angles before taking the picture. Try sitting or lying on the ground and taking the picture from the bottom while looking up. Stand or sit somewhere high in order to take the same picture. Stand on the sides and take the picture from different angles. Turn your camera at different angles before taking a picture. The possibilities are endless. Just be creative by willing to experiment and trying anything once.
When you look at something, notice what attracted you to it first. What was the first thing you noticed about that scene? What stands out the most? Make that your main area of focus. Take an up close shot on that main area or just make that main area the center focus of the whole picture. Check out the surroundings of the center focus. Do the people, vehicles and other objects add to the center focus or take away from it. Sometimes, its surroundings can make the whole picture more complete and more exciting. While other times, simplicity is the key. So, use your judgment wisely and carefully, and analyze the situation before you proceed.
And, lastly, be open to your options, relax, and just have fun. Always look around for something different, or at least, can be photographed differently in order to make an ordinary concept or a subject that is seen everyday as mundane new again by making people see it in a new way that makes it more interesting, and in a way, modernizing it.
